THE REFEREE

Foul Detection

EXCELLENT

Mr Pawson's foul detection was excellent today. He gave many fouls throughout the game with not much complaint about any of them from the players. During injury time in the second half Tottenham appealed for a penalty but Mr Pawson rightly waved it away.

Positioning

EXCELLENT

Craig's positioning was excellent which lead to his foul detection being excellent. This also lead to his man management being good because he was able to sell any decision he possibly needed too.

Man Management

EXCELLENT

Craig's management was again excellent. No one really complained about any decisions but if they did he was easily able to explain why he had given it.

Card Issuing

GOOD

Mr Pawson's card issuing was fairly good. He had 4 yellows in the game which there wasn't much complaint about. It was nice to see a referee issue a yellow card for dissent for a while but I'm glad he did it because otherwise the dissent could of carried on throughout the match. If I am being critical then I'm surprised he didn't book Norwich's number 9 he committed quite a few fouls before he got substituted.

Fitness

EXCELLENT

Mr Pawson is clearly a young referee and his fitness backs up the idea that he could well be one of England's top referees.

THE ASSISTANT REFEREES

Assistant 1 - EXCELLENT [9.0]
Assistant 2 - EXCELLENT [9.0]

Both assistants supported the referee well throughout the whole game.

OVERALL

EXCELLENT

SCORE

9/10
